HOW DOES AVICLEAR WORK?

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PROTOCOL?
The treatment protocol is 3 treatments, 3-4 weeks apart. All 3 treatments are required in order to get best results. Each treatment takes about 45 minutes.
IS THERE DOWNTIME?
Patients may experience immediate redness post treatment, but this subsides immediately in most patients but can last up to 24 hours. Some patients will also experience purging within the first 7-10 days post procedure, so we recommend coming in for an IPL treatment 1 week later to help kill bacteria & reduce inflammation. You are able to resume all activities immediately and makeup can be applied the next morning.
HOW FAST WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results will improve gradually over time, and best results are generally expected 6-9 months after the start of treatment. The purpose of the treatment is not only to clear active breakouts, but to truly change the your oil production and prevent new breakouts indefinitely. All of the patients that were a part of the initial study have maintained results for 3+ years.
DO I NEED TO CONTINUE MY CURRENT ACNE TREATMENT DURING THE TREATMENT PHASE?
Yes, we recommend continuing topical or oral acne treatments during the beginning of the treatment phase and we will guide you on when to discontinue them as your skin clears up over the next few months.
IS IT ONLY FOR FACIAL ACNE?
No, the face, neck, chest, back, and shoulders can all be treated at the same time!
DOES IT HURT?
AviClear was designed with unique cooling technology that allows for a more comfortable experience. There is some mild discomfort described by patients as a heating sensation. We offer and recommend ProNox in order to make your treatment pain and stress-free.
