The root causes of aesthetic concerns are multifactorial, including exposure to ultraviolet light, smoking, acne, movement of muscles of the face, heredity, and normal aging. In order to create real change, we at Timarron Aesthetic Center will create a customized treatment plan for you that includes the utilization of multiple modalities, thereby attacking the “problem” from every angle. This strategy leads to more satisfying, natural and sustainable results! Overall youthful healthy glowing skin is not accomplished by a single “one and done” treatment, but rather by an intentional treatment plan followed by an ongoing maintenance and prevention plan to ensure ongoing benefit from your investment in yourself!
We know that the hands of time cannot be stopped, but the clock can be “set back”; and the hands can be slowed. This rejuvenation requires dedication to the treatment protocol as well as to an overall healthy lifestyle. A healthy diet, adequate hydration, daily exercise, a quality skincare regimen, diligent sunscreen use, and avoidance of toxins to our skin including cigarette smoke and excessive alcohol will greatly enhance the results you want.
Timarron Aesthetic Center is different because we are a small, family-owned and physician-managed medical aesthetic center that is dedicated to helping you look and feel beautiful and rejuvenated from the inside out!
The tone and texture of our skin changes naturally as we age. Fine lines around our eyes and mouth as well as forehead wrinkles begin to appear. On top of that, age spots and blemishes may develop from basic environmental exposure, causing the texture of our skin to appear coarse and uneven.
Our Microplasma Pixel treatments smooth out and balance the skin- thus improving overall skin tone, elasticity and texture. These treatments help reduce superficial pigmentation and pore size, while helping to bolster the skin against future aging by stimulating collagen regrowth. Skin resurfacing treatments are safe, effective and are suitable for all skin types.
Additionally, our Pixel treatments can significantly improve the appearance of acne scars.
Our office hours are:
People who have blotchy, sun-damaged, or discolored skin, or whose skin is affected by large pores or wrinkles, may benefit from a facial rejuvenation treatment. The procedure is also quick and involves minimal downtime, making it a convenient option for people with busy schedules.
During the treatment process, numbing cream is applied to the treatment area (ask about our add-on treatment for hands while the numbing cream is working!) The skin is then cleansed and the specialized RF Pixel roller is gently guided across the entire face. A stationary tip can be used for deeper wrinkles, eye wrinkles or puffiness, or acne scars. The treatment is comfortable and sometimes described as a temporary warm sensation or a light “snap” from a rubber band. Most patients find this very tolerable and are thrilled with their outcome.
Immediately after treatment you may have some mild redness, mild burning (like a sunburn), tingling, tightness, slight swelling, and some skin flaking for a few days after treatment. Typically, these effects last 3-7 days.
Photorejuvenation refers to the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat conditions related to sun-induced skin damage. Are you bothered by freckles or age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, broken capillaries, acne, or just the overall aging appearance of your skin? Lumenis® Stellar M22 provides an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment—also known as a Photofacial treatment—designed to gently and effectively treat a wide range of skin conditions, including:
IPL photo-rejuvenation technology uses high intensity pulses of light to target and destroy pigmentation and vascular imperfections, while stimulating collagen production and improving your skin’s overall appearance. Lumenis IPL with optimal pulse technology lets your physician customize your treatment to your skin type and the results you desire with the choice of 9 customizable filters.
Light pulses move through the skin, creating heat and targeting skin imperfections in a controlled way. The treated area then flakes off when your body goes through its natural and constant process of exfoliation. At the same time, collagen and elastic fibers are stimulated, which results in a visible improvement of your skin’s tone and overall appearance.
As a pioneer in aesthetic medicine, Lumenis developed the first IPL technology and the first Photorejuvenation platform. The Company has established itself as long-standing leader in the field due to its vast knowledge and expertise in the market. The Lumenis Stellar M22 is considered the ‘Gold Standard’ in photorejuvenation treatments and its efficacy has been proven in over 80 peer reviewed papers.
Lumenis treatments are developed by laser medical experts, and all treatments, including M22 IPL (Photofacial), are FDA-approved and have clinically proven results. Multiple customizable filters allow us to adjust the settings according to your skin type, skin color, and the specific skin treatment you choose. Stellar M22 IPL is safe and effective for all skin types.
Your IPL (Photofacial) treatment should not take more than 45 minutes. You may experience a warm sensation as the light is applied to your skin, but the treatment is very gentle.
For 2 to 24 hours, you may feel and see your skin midly flushed or swollen. Freckles and hyper-pigmented lesions will turn darker and look dry for four to seven days and then start flaking off gradually and naturally.
The normal recovery period varies between two and five days, depending on your skin sensitivity and the treatment performed, but you can expect to see a substantial difference in hyper-pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and your overall skin texture within one week of treatment.
For some conditions, it may take a few sessions to see the best results. In general, the heavier your skin blemishes, the more treatments you’ll need. Dr. Lori will help you know how many treatments to expect to obtain your ideal desired results in your initial skin consultation.
M22 IPL (Photofacial) treatments are simultaneously gentle and very effective. After you have completed the treatment plan that you and Dr. Lori determine during your consultation, you should have one session of IPL (Photofacial) once or twice a year as maintenance.
Your results will last longer if you take good care of your skin. IPL treats existing sun related skin problems but does not prevent new ones from developing. We recommend using Jan Marini Medical Grade Skincare to maintain and boost your results and prevent further sun damage as well as avoiding sun exposure as much as possible.
TAKE YOUR RESULTS TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH COMBINED PHOTOFRACTIONAL TREATMENT!! OUR FAVORITE COMBINATION THERAPY!
ResurFX is a fractional, non-ablative laser technology, commonly used in conjunction with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne and surgical scars, skin discoloration, periorbital wrinkles and stretch marks. ResurFX penetrates the lower layers of skin to stimulate collagen growth without damaging the skin’s surface.
The ResurFX has minimal downtime, with a only few days of mild swelling or redness that looks like a mild sunburn which can be covered with makeup.
You will benefit from a treatment that improves the overall texture of your skin and stimulates collagen to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy. The IPL uses intense-pulsed light to target pigment in the skin, including sun/age spots and redness. The ResurFX is the resurfacing part of the combo as it works to penetrate the deeper layers of your skin to stimulate collagen production, resultng in skin tightening and texture resurfacing.
Faster, less painful and less downtime; it treats the underlying condition in one pass without damaging or heating up the skin’s surface so there is less pain. We can apply topical numbing creamIn if requested.
